Fast and easy steps
Get Your Texas Drivers License This Summer!
Enroll in either the teen or adult online driver's ed course and complete the required module hours — 6 hours for adults, 24 hours for teens.)
Once you finish the course, take and pass the DPS final written exam to receive your certificate. Additionally, complete the ITAD course required by Texas law.
Present your certificate to the DPS office. They will take your photo, perform an eye exam, and take your fingerprints before giving you a learners permit.
With a permit, you can now take your road test with Family Driving School and return to the DPS to get your Texas Drivers License!
